Prior to Genzyme, he worked as a portfolio manager at BlueMountain Capital Management, and as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Securities.

Todd is the Founder and Managing Partner of NewVale Capital LLC. He has more than 20 years of life science investing, company-building, and transaction experience across private and public sectors. Before founding NewVale, Todd led pharma and pharma services investing at CRG LP. Prior to CRG, he held senior investment roles with Gurnet Point Capital and Third Rock Ventures, helping to build and grow life science companies. Earlier in his career, he was an investor with BVF Partners, a biotechnology-focused hedge fund.

Scott consults for the pharma services industry and is an Operating Partner with NewVale Capital. Scott previously led M&A and corporate strategy as SVP of corporate development at Curia and as Chief Strategy Officer / Head of M&A at Lonza. Scott also served as US general counsel for Lonza and general counsel for Enzon Pharmaceuticals. He began his career as a corporate/M&A lawyer in New York at Sidley Austin and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

With over 30 years of experience in operations, supply chain and general management, Wayne Woodard’s primary focus (in three different industries) has been on building global operations capabilities with particular emphasis on working with external manufacturing services companies. Wayne founded Argonaut and managed it through nine years of tremendous and diversified growth. He previously worked at Thermo Fisher/Life Technologies, Ion Torrent, Affymetrix, Electroglas and Ridge Technologies. Wayne began his career in manufacturing at Sun Microsystems. Wayne focuses intensely on execution and detail, which is why he also bottles his own wine.

With over 30 years of experience in lyophilization technologies, microchannel diagnostic cartridge design, and the founder of Lyogen LLC, Mark Nowakowski has joined the Argonaut team. Mark’s background is in molecular diagnostics and immunodiagnostics. He previously worked at Hybritech Incorporated, Biosite Diagnostics, FMC BioProducts, and Mesa Biotech with responsibilities including product design and manufacturing automation. When not conceiving novel cryodessication techniques, Mark can be found lacing up his running shoes and logging some miles.
